Meet Mittens! This adorable little lady came to our Forked River shelter in 2021 alongside three other cats. Unfortunately, their owner passed away and there was no one able to take care of them. When Mittens arrived, she was very scared. Aside from her owner, she had little human interaction. Our staff has worked very patiently with her to make her feel comfortable and gain her trust since her arrival. Though she has made great strides, she is still very wary of new people.

Now Mittens resides in Kitty City where she can get all the comforts of a home. She can most often be found snuggled up in a comfy bed or snoozing in a sunny spot. We hope that one day Mittens will find her forever home but we are so glad to provide her with the very best care until then.

Mittens could use all the love she can get to help her blossom and come out of her shell!
