Charlie, a brown capuchin monkey, spent the early years of his life as a family pet before arriving at Popcorn Park in 2018. Though he was loved and well cared for, monkeys are highly intelligent and complex animals that require specialized care, and his family could no longer meet his needs. Thankfully, Charlie found a forever home with us, where he can live in an environment suited to his natural behaviors and instincts.

Adjusting to his new surroundings was a bit overwhelming at first, but Charlie quickly came out of his shell. Over time, he formed close bonds with his caretakers and developed a very special relationship with Pixie, the capuchin monkey he now resides with. The two enjoy spending their days together, sharing enrichment, meals, and companionship.

Charlie’s sweet and curious personality shines through in everything he does, making him a favorite among staff and visitors alike. He is incredibly expressive, often flashing a charming smile to familiar faces, and his playful nature keeps everyone entertained. Whether he’s exploring his enclosure, interacting with enrichment toys, or observing the world around him, Charlie is always finding new ways to stay busy and engaged.
