Jules is a 7-year-old tiger who lives with her brother, Jonathan. Born on April 25, 2015, they lived at several zoos, settling at Cherry Brook Zoo in June 2017. However, when Cherry Brook Zoo announced its closure in April 2020, siblings Jules and Jonathan again needed to find a new home. Popcorn Park Animal Refuge agreed to rescue the siblings when no Canadian agency was able to adopt them permanently.
However, given the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic along with the intricacies of foreign travel, their rescue was not a simple one. Thankfully, the Granby Zoo in Canada was able to house and care for the pair of felines while arrangements could be made for their arrival and our friends from Tigers in America were able to assist us with transportation and long term care at Granby.
Finally, after two years of preparation and planning, Jules and Jonathan were transported to Popcorn Park along with two other big cats on June 26, 2022. The pair settled in to their new home nicely. They are well-tempered and good-natured cats who have enjoyed socializing with our guests. They can even be very vocal and playful! We have enjoyed seeing their spunky personalities blossom as they settle in and establish new daily routines.
Popcorn Park is Jules' 4th home in 7 years, and we are glad to provide her with a stable, lifelong home in our Refuge. Jules would love to have you welcome her to her new home as her sponsor!
