Meet Jules, a beautiful and playful tiger who shares her home with her brother, Jonathan, here at Popcorn Park. Born on April 25, 2015, Jules and Jonathan spent their early years living at several zoos in Canada before finding a more permanent home at Cherry Brook Zoo in 2017. However, when the zoo announced its closure in 2020, the siblings once again found themselves searching for a new place to call home. Despite efforts to relocate them within Canada, no institution could offer them a permanent home, leaving the pair in need of help.
Our team at Popcorn Park knew we had to step in, and after two years of careful planning and coordination, Jules and Jonathan finally made their way to us in June 2022. The pandemic and travel complexities made their rescue a challenging one, but with the help of the Granby Zoo in Canada and Tigers in America, we were able to bring them to their forever home. Since their arrival, we’ve watched Jules grow into a tiger full of spunk and curiosity.
Jules is a true bundle of energy. She’s always the first to explore, chase after enrichment toys, and engage in playful interactions with her brother, Jonathan. With a natural grace and agility, she adds a touch of excitement to every day. Her playful nature and zest for life are contagious, and watching her joyfully run and leap around her spacious enclosure never gets old.
Now that Jules is settled into her fourth and final home at Popcorn Park, she’s thriving in a safe and peaceful environment.
