On December 27, 2015, Gandalf arrived at Popcorn Park, beginning a new chapter in his life. His elderly owner, facing a terminal illness, could no longer care for him, but thanks to the kindness of an animal transporter, Gandalf found his way to our Refuge, where he has been showered with love and care ever since.

Gandalf is a curious resident, always watching for visitors—after all, you shall not pass without saying hello! He has a big personality and an even bigger love for his favorite treats, which include peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches, pumpkins, and his ultimate favorite—spaghetti! His caretakers make sure he gets plenty of special snacks, along with fun enrichment activities to keep him engaged and active.

One of Gandalf’s favorite pastimes is movie night with his caretakers. He especially enjoys Disney films, with Cars being his top pick! When the sun is shining, he steps outside to soak in the fresh air, watching the bustle of the Refuge, and find the perfect sunspot to relax in. To keep him entertained, he enjoys a variety of toys, from squeaky playthings to foraging mats filled with tasty surprises like nuts and grapes.
