Meet Jonathan, a stunning tiger with a big personality who shares his home with his younger sister, Jules. Jonathan was born on June 20, 2014, and after living at several zoos, he and Jules found themselves at Cherry Brook Zoo in 2017. When the zoo closed in 2020, the pair needed a new, permanent home. Popcorn Park stepped in to rescue them, and after a complex journey during the pandemic, Jonathan and Jules made their way to us in June 2022, ready to start a new chapter of their lives.
Since settling in at Popcorn Park, Jonathan has proven to be a friendly and easygoing tiger. He enjoys the company of his sister, but he also loves the attention from our staff and visitors. Jonathan is a playful and vocal tiger, often seen entertaining guests with his lively personality and big, curious eyes. He’s become a favorite among those who visit, always ready to show off his charm.
Jonathan is an energetic and confident tiger who loves to explore his spacious habitat, especially during the warm months when he can stretch out in the sunshine. His playful side comes out when he interacts with his sister and the enrichment items provided by his caretakers. Watching Jonathan become comfortable in his new environment has been a joy, and he’s developed a real sense of peace and belonging here at Popcorn Park.
