Reeses came to us in November of 2014 with his friend Buttons. Their owner was no longer able to care for them and both were in desparate need of a soft landing. The boys were terribly neglected and suffering for it. In addition, Reeses had been declawed at a young age, which caused a host of irreversible related medical conditions.

After months of lots of medical treatment, a good grooming, and lots of TLC, Reeses and Buttons were feeling like brand new kittens! Unfortunately, we soon discovered that Buttons had an enormous mass in his lung. His condition deteriorated rapidly and sadly, he left us to go on to a better place, leaving Reeses without his best buddy.

Reeses moved into Kitty City, one of our free roaming cat rooms where he has many other cats to keep him company and is free to roam about the home-like rooms. He can usually be found snoozing in one of the plush beds in the area but is always one of the first to come say "Hello!" to anyone who comes to visit. He is such a sweet and friendly boy who wants nothing more than affection and head rubs.

Reeses has arthritis in his back legs, due in part to being declawed, and is on arthritis medication to make him more comfortable. However, he still enjoys a very full and happy life. He is a big, lovable, boy who just adores people and cats alike. All Reeses asks for is to be treated with kindness, and to have some good friends to share his life with.
