This year, we welcomed many new faces to Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, including Strawberry. Strawberry is a five-year-old camel who needed a loving home after the passing of her mate. She has since found comfort and companionship with Bella, our Jersey cow. Stories like Strawberry’s highlight the importance of the work we do and the difference your contributions make.

Left with painful, scalding wounds after someone poured boiling water on his back, Deus was rescued and given a second chance thanks to our Save-A-Life supporters, like you.

Our shelters have seen an unprecedented increase in the number of animals needing our care, particularly dogs. Many of these animals are arriving in worse medical condition than ever before, requiring extensive medical treatment and care. Deus is one of the many animals who need some extra support. Deus found himself in our care after someone poured boiling water on his back. He was underweight with a very poor body score and horrible open wounds. With some TLC from our staff, Deus’s personality began to shine, and he put on some much-needed weight. His burns have since healed, and he’s on a mission to put the past behind him. Your participation in the sweepstakes directly supports our mission to provide these animals with the love and care they deserve.
