Paws for a Cause

Hi, my name is Robert "Robbie" Niessen, and I’m a 16-year-old sophomore at Clifton High School in New Jersey. After visiting Popcorn Park Animal Refuge several times, I was deeply inspired by the incredible work being done to care for and protect rescued animals. As someone who dreams of becoming a veterinarian, I’ve always had a strong passion for animal welfare. Seeing the dedication of the staff at Popcorn Park strengthened my commitment to making a difference. For my Language Arts Passion Project, I chose to focus on raising awareness and collecting donations in support of Popcorn Park’s mission. Although the project is part of a six-week school assignment, I plan to continue this effort well beyond its due. Through community outreach, this fundraiser, and social media, my goal is to gather both monetary and physical donations to help provide a better future for the animals in Popcorn Park’s care.
