Spanky, a tiny 5-pound Yorkie, came to us through Newark Animal Control in heartbreaking condition.
Estimated to be around 8 years old, it’s clear he hasn’t received the care he needed for a long time.
Both of Spanky’s ears have been left untreated for years. His right ear has developed a painful mass, while the other is severely narrowed and infected. He’s now on medication to manage pain, reduce swelling, and treat infection—but he will need surgery and further care to truly recover.
Spanky is finally getting the care he’s been missing, and we are committed to giving this sweet boy the future he deserves. But we can’t do it alone.
