Adopt Chuck
Chuck's Rescue Story:
Chuck is our resident Patagonian Mara, also known as a Cavy. He came to us in late 2018 after spending most of his life at a zoo, where he was often picked by the other cavies due to his blindness and health issues. The zoo staff recognized that Chuck needed a quieter, safer environment and reached out to us for help. When he arrived, Chuck quickly found relief in his new home, where he could live peacefully. Using his long whiskers and heightened senses, he learned to navigate his enclosure with confidence. Chuck has become a staff favorite and now shares his space with Max, our Aldabra tortoise. The two have become close companions, often seen enjoying the sunshine together or sharing a leafy green salad.
