Birds
If you've recently visited Popcorn Park, you can't miss stopping by our Aviary, where a lively and unique collection of birds calls home. With 28 feathered residents, each bird has a story, many of them rehomed when their previous owners could no longer care for them. We've created a spacious, free-range area where birds of similar types and sizes can flock together and live life without the constraints of a cage.
The Aviary is located near the front of the Refuge, making it easy for visitors to enjoy the cheerful chirps and songs that fill the air as the birds interact with each other in their peaceful environment.
Lenny, a playful gray-and-white cockatiel, joined our Aviary after his owners moved into a condo. Unfortunately, their neighbors weren't fond of Lenny's joyful bird calls, so they reached out to us for help. Here, Lenny is free to make as much noise as he likes, and he’s loving every minute of it!
Apollo, a beautiful white cockatiel, arrived at Popcorn Park after his family had to move into an apartment where pets weren't allowed. Now, Apollo spends his days soaring freely, surrounded by his new feathered friends.
Charlie, Edward, and Bella, a trio of parakeets, came to Popcorn Park when their owner could no longer care for them due to allergies. These little buddies now have plenty of space to stretch their wings and enjoy life in a friendly, cage-free environment.
By sponsoring our Aviary Birds, you help ensure they continue to live happy, healthy lives in their spacious, carefree home. Your support provides the food, care, and attention they need to thrive. These sociable birds are a joy to be around, and your sponsorship makes it all possible.
