Birds
If you have visited Popcorn Park lately, you can't miss stopping by to see the unique collection of birds in our Aviary! We receive so many calls each year from people who need to rehome their smaller birds. We have 28 Aviary Birds who have come to us for a variety of different reasons.
We built a special Aviary where birds of a feather (same type and size) can flock together and enjoy their uncaged life! They share a free range area near the front of the Refuge where they can coexist in peace.
One of the birds in the Aviary is Apollo, a beautiful white cockatiel. Apollo found himself at Popcorn Park when his family moved into an apartment and sadly was unable to keep him. Now he happily lives cage-free in the Aviary, hanging out with all his other feathered friends!
Another of our Aviary Birds, Lenny, one of our gray and white cockatiels, found his way to us after his owners moved into a condo. Unfortunately, their neighbors in the condo did not appreciate Lenny's loud bird noises and the owners needed to find him a new home. We welcomed Lenny with open arms and now he is free to make all the bird noises he wants!
Parakeet buddies Charlie, Edward, and Bella found their way to Popcorn Park when their owner was unable to keep them due to allergies.
By sponsoring our Aviary Birds, you help support care for them all! It always warms our hearts to listen to their musical chirps. These birds are all so sociable and a joy to have around!
