This cute little piggy is Willow! She may be small, but her personality is anything but. Willow is always eager to say hello and share as much affection as possible with everyone she meets. At just a few months old, she has enough enthusiasm to take on the world. Even though life hasn't gone quite as planned, Willow always seems to look on the bright side.
Willow came to us when her owners realized they could no longer care for her as they had hoped. Wanting the very best for her, they made the decision to place Willow at Popcorn Park, where she could receive lifelong care and companionship.
While keeping pigs as pets is not uncommon, it is far more complicated than adopting a cat or dog. KuneKune pigs are known for their sweet, docile personalities, but they require extensive research before bringing one home. Local laws, proper housing, permits, veterinary care, companionship, and plenty of space all need to be considered. These intelligent animals also require enrichment and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy!
Although Willow is adorably small right now, don't let her size fool you! KuneKune pigs can grow to weigh over 200 pounds. For the time being, Willow is residing behind-the-scenes near our barn, where she is growing, learning, and winning over everyone she meets. Once she's a bit bigger, she'll make her debut in the Refuge.
Willow settled in quickly and has already become a favorite among our staff. Her curious nature, friendly personality, and endless charm make it impossible not to fall in love with her.
Help support Willow's care and join us in welcoming her to her forever home. We know she'll steal your heart just as quickly as she stole ours!
