It is always quite a sight to catch a glimpse of a red fox. Whether you've spotted one darting through the trees or crossing through a meadow, their striking red fur and black paws never fail to spark excitement. Seeing a fox in the wild is a special experience, watching them roam freely, follow their own schedule, and thrive in the world they know best.

That is why we are so grateful for the dedicated wildlife rehabilitators who work tirelessly to help injured and orphaned foxes heal and, whenever possible, return to their natural homes. However, there are times when an injury or other circumstance makes life in the wild no longer possible. In those cases, sanctuaries and refuges provide the next best thing: a safe place where these animals can continue living as naturally as possible under the care of people who understand their unique needs.

This is the story of sweet Quinn.

Before arriving at Popcorn Park, Quinn was under the care of a wildlife rehabilitator. However, due to an injury affecting her back, returning to the wild would have been dangerous and left her vulnerable. Because of her condition, Quinn requires ongoing care and monitoring, making sanctuary life the safest option for her future.

As one of our newest residents, Quinn is still settling into her surroundings and getting to know her neighboring foxes. She has plenty of cozy hiding spots, soft beds, toys, and enrichment to help her feel at home, and she has been adjusting wonderfully! As she becomes more comfortable with her keepers and new environment, we hope to eventually introduce her to her fellow foxes, Kasper, Kit, and Curveball.
