Exotic Animals
Sushi is an African serval who recently joined us at Popcorn Park and is beginning to settle into his new home. Like his fellow serval Sammy, Sushi came to us after being kept as a household pet, an environment that’s far from ideal for wild animals like him. Fortunately, he’s now in a place where he can simply be a serval, surrounded by care, enrichment, and the space to thrive.
Servals may look like oversized house cats, but they are wild animals with complex needs. They have powerful hunting instincts, require specialized diets, and need ample space and stimulation to stay healthy, making them a poor fit for domestic life. Sushi's story is a reminder that wild animals belong in their natural habitats, not living rooms.
Sushi is still getting used to his new surroundings and has been spending his days rotating outdoor time with Sammy, checking each other out through their window. Servals are naturally solitary animals, so we're giving both boys plenty of time and space before any official introductions are made.
So far, Sushi is warming up to our keepers, showing his inquisitive personality. He enjoys lounging on his big comfy bed, playing with cat toys, and isn’t a picky eater, but he especially loves chicken!
While he may not be that kind of sushi, this boy is still quite the catch. Reel in the chance to sponsor him today and show this wild guy some love!
