Sushi is an African serval, and like our fellow serval Sammy, came to us after being kept as a household pet, an environment that’s far from ideal for wild animals like him. Fortunately, he’s now in a place where he can simply be a serval, surrounded by care, enrichment, and the space to thrive!

Servals may look like oversized house cats, but they are wild animals with complex needs. They have powerful hunting instincts, require specialized diets, and need ample space and stimulation to stay healthy, making them a poor fit for domestic life. Sushi's story is a reminder that wild animals belong in their natural habitats, not living rooms.

Servals are naturally solitary animals, so we gave both servals plenty of time and space before any official introductions were made. Now, the two are happily co-existing together! 

Sushi is curious, playful, and has quite the inquisitive personality. He enjoys lounging in his big comfy bed, playing with cat toys, and isn’t a picky eater, but he especially loves chicken!
