Pixie arrived at Popcorn Park in 2003 after spending twenty years with a loving family. She had always been well cared for, but over time, the situation became difficult. As Pixie grew older, she developed behavioral issues that led to some dangerous situations. Despite the challenges, her family loved her dearly and knew that Popcorn Park could provide the care and attention she needed. After much consideration, they made the difficult decision to bring Pixie here, knowing she would have a forever home where she could be safe and loved.

Since arriving, Pixie has become a favorite among our staff, and she shares a special bond with her neighbor, Charlie, the capuchin monkey. They often spend time together, enjoying each other's company, and it’s clear that they’ve become the best of friends. Pixie’s sweet nature makes her a joy to be around, and she especially loves her treats—grapes are a particular favorite, though she also enjoys a little milk now and then as a special treat.

Pixie is a calm and affectionate animal who would love to make more friends. Her story may have started with some challenges, but today, she’s a happy, well-adjusted resident of Popcorn Park. The family that once cared for her still visits regularly, often bringing her mail to open—one of her favorite pastimes.
