This is not how any dog’s story should begin, but it’s where Hope’s does.
She was found tied up in a park in Millville, alone, forgotten, and barely holding on. When a Good Samaritan brought her through our doors, it was immediately clear just how much she had endured.
At just a year old, Hope weighs only 20 pounds. Every bone in her body is visible. Her emaciated frame shows just how long she’s been suffering. Her nails were painfully overgrown and hollow, and her feet are covered in sores from prolonged exposure to urine and feces— along with pressure wounds we believe came from being confined for extended periods.
We’re calling her Hope because that’s exactly what she needs, and what we’re holding onto for her.
Right now, Hope is receiving urgent medical care. She needs intensive treatment, careful feeding, wound care, and constant monitoring in the days ahead. Her recovery will take time.
Hope finally has a chance, but she’s not out of danger yet. She is fighting to survive, and she needs us to fight for her.
Please make a donation today to give Hope the care she desperately needs.
Your support will go directly toward the lifesaving treatment she requires right now: medical care, medications, proper nutrition, and the time it will take to help her heal, inside and out.
