Strawberry spent her early years on a Pennsylvania farm, where she was well cared for and deeply loved. Unfortunately, she was born undersized and faced numerous health challenges — including parasites and severe weight loss.
Thankfully, Strawberry’s caretakers reached out to the Associated Humane Societies (AHS) in time.
Since joining our Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, Strawberry has captured the hearts of everyone she meets. Her inquisitive nature shines through, and she’s slowly adapting to her new surroundings. She’s even made friends with Bella the Cow across the fence!
But Strawberry’s journey to recovery is just beginning. And she’s not alone.
Popcorn Park is home to more than 200 rescued animals — from majestic big cats to birds, bears, and reptiles. Each animal has a rescue story all their own, and each requires specialized attention only AHS can provide. Many of the animals at our refuge have endured incredible hardships. Some have suffered abuse and neglect. Others were victims of the exotic pet trade.
