Kit's Rescue Story:
Kit, a silver fox, was purchased at a Kentucky flea market by a family who thought it would be fun to have a fox as a pet. They showed him off everywhere and posted pictures on social media, unaware that keeping a wild animal as a pet is not only harmful to the animal but also illegal. Fortunately, officials intervened and Kit was brought to Popcorn Park. His story sheds light on the unfortunate fox trade, where animals like Kit are bred for fur or sold as pets. As a domesticated fox, Kit cannot be released back into the wild so he lives at the Refuge with his best fox friend, Kasper. We are so happy to provide the pair with a safe, loving home at Popcorn Park!
