Today our team stepped in to rescue 37 cats and kittens from a severe hoarding situation in Carteret, NJ—many of them suffering from flea infestations, eye infections, and the effects of long-term neglect. With our shelter over capacity and resources stretched to the limit, we need your help to provide the medical care, nourishment, and safe shelter they desperately need. Please donate now to give them the second chance they deserve.
Before their arrival, we were already caring for nearly 700 cats and kittens in our shelters—not to mention more than 300 others in foster homes. This unexpected intake has pushed us to our limits. All 37 are being evaluated by our medical team, treated for infections, and will need vaccinations along with spay/neuter surgeries. Female cats can have up to 3–4 litters a year, and cases like this are a powerful reminder of how quickly the population can grow—and why spaying and neutering is so vital to our mission.
