Over the course of 2 days, our team worked to rescue 32 cats that were living in a car after their family was recently evicted. The situation highlights the importance of spaying and neutering. What started as just 3 cats quickly multiplied to 32, as female cats can have 3-4 litters a year. This is an important reminder of how quickly the population can grow!
Before their arrival, we already had over 400 cats and kittens in our care, and this unexpected intake has pushed us to our limits. While we’ve received some supplies, these new arrivals urgently need medical care. All 32 cats are being treated for upper respiratory, eye, and skin infections, and they still need vaccinations and spaying or neutering.
